Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica Receives $200,000 Grant from OneWest Bank

Santa Monica, CA — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica (BGCSM) is grateful to announce that OneWest Bank, the Southern California branch division of CIT Bank, N.A., has gifted the club a $200,000 grant.  This is the second time in three years that OneWest Bank has made a made a contribution including a $150,000 grant awarded to the organization in 2016 for teen leadership programs.  This year’s grant will be used to continue the club’s programming in its three pillars: academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship.

For 73 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica has been providing generation-changing programs and after school services that have enduring impact.  The club’s mission is “to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, responsible, productive citizens.”  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica serves more than 4,000 youth each year, and unrestricted funding is essential to sustaining and improving the Club’s services and programs in education, career, character, leadership, health, life skills, and more
