Our John Adams Middle School Boys & Girls Club partners with the Santa Monica Police Department LEAD program to empower members with the skills and relationships they need to tackle middle school and beyond. LEAD, an acronym for Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, Discovery, is a program that provides leadership development and practical skills to help youth achieve success.
This summer, Sergeant Leone of the SMPD taught two highly engaging workshops on police tech, including soldering and drones!
This fall, we’re continuing the partnership with officers and coaches Greg and Samuel. They have been working with JAMS members on their basketball skills while providing practical tools and prevention strategies to help our kids learn and grow.
