BONES HYLAND TEAMS UP WITH BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SANTA MONICA TO CREATE HOLIDAY JOY
LA Clippers Guard provided local kids with an unforgettable holiday celebration and shopping spree.
December 10 – This holiday season, LA Clippers Guard Bones Hyland, founder of the Trassi Foundation, created holiday joy for 12 Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica members through a special shopping spree at JD Sports. On December 7, Club kids arrived at the sports store where they were greeted by an enthusiastic Hyland, ready to make holiday magic happen.
Each kid was given a $200 gift card to be used in the store. They raced around, choosing sneakers, jerseys, and equipment—with Hyland acting as a personal shopper. He helped them pick the perfect items. The special experience also included snacks and drinks.
The event was about more than just shopping, it emphasized connection and showed kids they are supported by a community that believes in their potential. The smiles on their faces indicated a huge success.
“This is what the holidays are all about—coming together as a community to create magic for kids,” said Brynja Seagren, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica. “We are grateful to Bones for giving our members a memory they will cherish forever and showing them the importance of giving back.”
Hyland emphasized his passion for making a difference, adding “It means a lot to me to see the kids having a great time. I’m glad to be part of making their holiday season special and proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica to make a difference.”
This experience will empower Club members to walk into the new year with confidence and leave them with fond memories of the holiday season.
As 2025 approaches, Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica remains committed to creating opportunities for kids to thrive. Hyland’s generosity is a perfect example of what can be achieved when individuals and organizations come together to uplift the next generation.
