Our Junior Youth of the Year program is a new offering designed to increase access to Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s most prestigious leadership program! Through Youth of the Year, young people build age-appropriate leadership skills that will serve them throughout their lives. This year, we have over 40 middle school participants gaining confidence and communication skills through the Jr. Youth of the Year Program!
In addition to leadership skills, they practice public speaking, interviewing, and resume writing. The program also has a service component. On Veterans Day, participants from across Clubs gathered to give back. They spent the day cleaning up the beach and creating cards for veterans. There was even time for a delicious lunch at Shake Shack. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, collaborate across Clubs, and make a positive difference!
