LOCAL NONPROFIT HOSTS INAUGURAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT AT BRAEMAR COUNTRY CLUB

Community members are invited to swing their clubs for Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica’s Clubs.

– Community members will gather at Braemar Country Club on October 14 to golf for good at Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica’s Inaugural Golf Tournament. The all-day tournament includes breakfast, 18 holes, a variety of on-course contests, lunch at the turn, and a cocktail reception.

It’s a fun day on a great course that makes a difference.

The course at Braemar Country Club was designed by Ted Robinson. It offers golfers the chance to play nine holes of a brand-new US Open course and nine holes of a Masters course while enjoying panoramic views. Regardless of skill level, each course provides a welcoming atmosphere, with five sets of tee markers to accommodate both new and experienced golfers, allowing them to tailor their game to match their own abilities.

Player fees and sponsorships benefit the thousands of kids who rely on Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica for essential programming after school and in the summer. The organization has been a fixture in the community for 80 years; a new event is an opportunity to invite new community members to see what the Clubs are all about!

“As we look forward to our next 80 years, we are committed to providing opportunities for all community members to get invested in the future of local kids,” said CEO, Brynja Seagren. “With this new signature event, we’re expanding our reach to new leaders and building a broader coalition of support for kids who need us most.”

Anyone is invited to play in the tournament for a day of networking and golf that powers workforce readiness, character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles programs for Santa Monica kids. Single tickets, doubles, and foursomes can be purchased at www.smbgc.org/golf. Sponsorships are also available on the website.
